Athens Waldorf Montessori Homeschool Group

Athens and surrounding areas

We are a group of families in the Athens, GA area who are homeschooling their preschoolers based on the Waldorf Education philosophy developed by Rudolf Steiner and the Montessori philosophy of Maria Montessori. We meet weekly on Fridays at each others' homes or take field trips to local places in order to provide fun and appropriate education for our children at the same time. In the fall of 2004, we will solidify a specific meeting place for the group and will have set up a charter. The group is open to all homeschoolers of young children who are interested in Waldorf or Montessori philosophies or those who are just considering the idea of homeschooling.
