HEIR Life SupportHEIR is an open and inclusive volunteer organization, providing information to and voice for the broad community of homeschoolers in the state of Georgia.
HEIR maintains a web site providing current information on political and legal issues of concern to homeschoolers (http://www.heir.org), as well as contact information for support groups around the state and a bulletin board.
HEIR is active in monitoring the legislative process, and in developing position papers on legislation that might impact homeschooling in Georgia.

As a volunteer organization, HEIR depends upon donations to fund the web site and the expenses associated with correspondence and providing materials for elected officials.
HEIR has initiated a membership dues, as a way to fund ongoing operations. Anyone making a donation of at least $12 will be considered a dues paying member of HEIR for the calendar year 2000.
