Where SAT I scores are required the equivalent ACT scores are acceptable.

These requirements are being phased-in over several years and will be fully implemented by the year 2001. Each institution may have additional requirements for admission.

Each institution in the USG falls into one of four sectors (levels). The four sectors are

• Research universities: GA Tech, GA state, and UGA,
• Regional universities: Georgia Southern and Valdosta State,
• State universities/colleges, such as Albany State Univ. and Southern Polytechnic State Univ., and
• Associate-level colleges, such as ABAC and Perimeter College.

Each institution may have requirements beyond those of the USG. Meeting the requirements outlined herein will not guarantee admission to any institution.
